Our goal is to foster a dynamic, collaborative ecosystem that empowers both employers and individuals to thrive in the evolving and changing regional economy. By creating streamlined pathways for workforce development, integrating strategic awareness-raising campaigns, incentivising employers, we aim to, bridge skills gaps, address training needs, and promote sustainable growth across the region.

A work experience hub that would be able to act as a representative to local businesses for whole of skillsWMW - this would be made up of 4 leads who could represent specific areas/faculties (specialist knowledge). The hub would be able to reduce excessive contact for businesses and also reduce workload of individual colleges to have appropriate paperwork in place (we would need to establish how this was stored and shared from a data protection point of view). Hub would look to promote the benefits and opportunities for work experience and also be able to act upon needs for business and colleges accordingly. This in turn could lead to opportunities for not only work experience but bootcamps and other specialised programmes to meet the needs of businesses.
