We are constantly surrounded by images. We can even go as far to say that we are besieged by manufactured images in our daily life. Whether its social networks , the news or advertising. Our relationship to the image has evolved over time with the arrival of cinema, television … But we must not forget that our first experience with images was art, more precisely painting. So what better place than a museum to have perspectives on the future of the image ! Thinking about this problem more questions have come to mind, Like how did the way we consume images changed with the rise of social media. For me this picture is a metaphor of how overly stimulated we are by constant information coming from our phone, some people don't even have the time to appreciate art. Furthermore, if we dig a little more in this example, the television is showing images from a third world country, implying a form of cultural boundary in how the image is processed and how detached we are from certain images.

In the wake of social movements like ‘Black lives matter' ' very interesting discussions have been going on about representation and how images can leave out some people and marginalize them even more. Artists like photographer Liz Johnson Artur are changing the norm. by photographing her own community and culture she makes them exist. she even goes a step further by integrating braille in some of her pictures, for example this one showing young black protesters : https://padlet.com/erd46/in2qly0rhqvpkces/wish/2404489642
This is a great example of imagining other ways to consume images in a more inclusive way.

A lot of artworks in the museum were moving images. What I found really interesting was how the medium (camera, projector) was put in the middle of the artist and reality, like a filter. One shift that I noticed was how images in the modern age need to involve some sort of spectacle or eye-catching element to garner people’s eyes. As our attention spans are reducing more and more, and as many of us have a constant desire to share our lives online, I think images that are most successful in museums or galleries are those that foster the most photographing.
