Percy is more of an accidental hero. He often makes impulsive decisions and breaks rules, which sometimes causes more problems. While his intentions are good, his actions are sometimes driven by personal revenge or anger rather than pure heroism.

Percy tries to do the good but sometimes his anger for revenge causes him to do unpleasant actions or deeds, sometimes he doesn’t follow the adequate instructions or rules, he’s passed through many problems but still so has the same intentions to save his mom and stop WW3. Percy understand that he has to save the bolt and fight through everything but we know that he accepted the quest only to go down to the underworld to save his mother so his most important thing is his mother then, it is a heroic action he wants to save but he has difficulty dealing with hard decisions.

In my opinion, Percy is a hero, but he doesn't necessarily consider himself one. In his mind, he may not be entirely normal after all. He is a demigod and the only son of Poseidon at Camp Half-Blood, but he considers himself more of a normal 12 year old boy than a hero.

I mean he didn’t mean to save the world well he kinda did but for another purpose to save his mom and for that reason he isn’t an all around hero he is his own hero he’s more like a paid mercenary he only does heroic deeds if he gets paid for it though that dosent count as heroic it is something that is justified and I respect
