My school has recognised me for my hard work and my amazing persistence.

The ALP representative role was my first class committee role in my Secondary School journey.

In my time as a ALP representative, I had helped my ALP teacher collect and distribute WS to my classmates.

I have taken the CCE Champion role on my own accord as I wanted to have a taste on the responsibilities and challenges a leadership role would have.

I have done various tasks for the school such as facilitate class gratitude activities as well as help out in my school 2024 Gratitude Fair.

Therefore, I was awarded this Scholarship.

During my camp, I have learned the traditions and history of Melaka.

I had a whale of a time as I could spent time with my friends.

Therefore, I was awarded this Scholarship.

Originally, I was to take this camp in Primary 5. However, it was post-pone due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

I didn’t stay overnight in the school due to Covid-19 restrictions. Instead, we left in the afternoon and came back to school the next day to continue the camp.

During the camp, I have done various tasks such as Archery and Cooking and had a whale of a time with my friends.

I have done various tasks such as cook, explore (fake) caves, hike, read maps, kayak & work in groups.

I had a blast of a time as I made some new friends there.

Therefore, my teachers saw this and nominated me for Ray of Regent of July.

Therefore I was awarded with this award as I was recognised by my school for my behaviour.

On my own accord, I have chosen to be Vice-Chairperson as I wanted responsibilities and duties to help me grow to be a leader and a better person.

As Vice-Chairperson, I had a lot of things to do such as Chairperson-led activities, updating the attendance, updating the date on the board, updating my class’ calendar, and planning for special events such as Teachers’ Day.

This role helped me a lot as I am pushed out of my comfort zone and have many opportunities to be more confident and honest leadership skills.

The activities include hiking, pitching tents, cooking, climbing, going into (fake) caves, group activities, map reading and packing bags.

Although it was very difficult, my time there was very valuable as I better honed my leadership skills through opportunities and have a new experience.

Through our hard work, my class have won bronze.

Through our grit and determination, we end up with 3rd place for Sport Fiesta.

More than half of my teammates were either absent or had CCA duty on that day. Leaving 5 people, including me.

Additionally, due to the lack of players, we couldn’t make any substitutions and we all have to play in every single match.

This was very hard as we have to rely on each others’ skill and competence in Volleyball.

However, we were able to pull through and in the end. My team earned 3rd place.

By my teachers remarks:

I have displayed persistence and perseverance in my work. I seek clarification when in doubt and accepts feedback from my teachers readily. I work on the feedback given to me and has shown improvement in my work.

I really enjoyed my time at Happy Hour with Seniors as I could spend time bonding with the wholesome elderly!

In the end, my class won first place for the Upper-Secondary cohort as we had picked up the most litter and walked the most distance overall.
