As an educator, we must foster the academic and social-emotional learning of our students while providing the support and resources each student needs.

I have chosen to write about Section 504 because I have taught many students with disabilities that have needed accommodations to remove the barriers of their learning. As a person who required Section 504 accommodations throughout my schooling, it is something that has affected me personally. For this legal guide, all educators are my intended audience. A focus will be on PreK-12 education.
