Seeing others happy makes us happy
According to bowman, our striatum responds more to witnessing social reward among others (even when it doesn't involve us) than our own reward. So in order to that a common practice between social media has shown that the people shows their happiest version of their lives and enjoys seeing others happy.

This involves journeys, a new job, posts with  family or friends, relationships, food pictures, between others. All this in order to prove or share this happiness in social media that makes us happy.
