Su cliente, Eusebi Güell tenía un relación de negocios con la empresa textil de Fernández y Andrés quien quería una nueva sede. Se llama Casa Botines porque del nombre del dueño de la empresa. La planta baja y sotano eran para oficinas, y la arriba era para espacios residenciales.
