The little rainfall in this biome leads to droughts effecting the habitats and lives of animals and other plants living there. The temperature is extremely high in the summer and cold in the winter. The highest it gets during summer is 38 celcius and -40 in the winter. Bison have adapted to living in this biome by having broad flat topped teeth with a digestive system built to feed on grass because grass is the main plant that most animals eat in this biome, it is one of the only plants that can steadily grow here.

The Corsac Fox can burrow and has excellent hearing so they know when predators areapproaching even if they are hiding in the tall grass. 

There is barely any water or rainfall, so plants and animals have to adapt to going long periods of time without water.
