By giving face to face responses, especially as a public figure you are able to get the point across more and show more emotions as opposed to doing it through the media. Being face to face showed his compassion and guilt that he felt after taking the statues down.

When I was a senior in high school chrome books were brought into classrooms to be used at certain times, but other than that we didn’t use much technology at school. I feel like technology shouldn’t be used as much as it is because kids don’t learn as much and grasp the content as well. As for home life I think it was very useful during the pandemic but I think now teachers should stop leaning on technology so much and start getting back into the old ways of teaching.

For a big conflict like this, it is important to see the face of the person making the decisions, and since he held many press conferences, he was better able to connect with the community, whether they supported his actions or not. If they provided us technology, I would be happy, until I found out that they were using it to keep track of us, and watch us. I use my computer for everything, much like the students from Harriton High School, and would be absolutely violated. We came to school to learn, not to be monitored. This is not nearly as drastic, however, I feel like the Duo system that Marist made us set up can violate our movements, because it tracks us based on where we are to log in. There is a boundary that is being crossed by the school when the privacy of a student's home life is being breached.
