Early years seems to be a lot of learning with play. Even though there seems to be a basic structure around topics, it still gives teachers and students the liberty to teach and learn at their own pace respectively.

New experiences such as eating with peers in cafeteria, picking up after yourself, calming down, etc are the qualities that are taught by doing.

Early years is learning through play. To teach and mould the child emotionally and physically. Exposing them to the world but in a manner they comprehend. Teach them to be kind, share and care

When we think of it, all we used to know was one needs to learn the alphabet, the numbers, the tables, how to spell, how to add, how to form sentences etc etc Today my understanding is very different, with my own child. I realise through play and activities there could be a much more enriching experience of learning as opposed to the old orthodox simple robotic way of learning etc Looking forward to applying these tenchniques in our day to day life

Everyone's perspective is different in terms of how they learn and interpret. Playing activates a different section of your brain where one wants to learn and find out things as against just reading and memorising. The props that are available for playing are the same used in real world and to make sense of it in that manner gives you an idea on how to apply it practically

What an enlightening session ! When we come in the morning and have no expectations, we learn so much when we walk out. Learning through play sounds fancy, could also not make sense to many. The reason this group of people are here together is exactly this ! We appreciate child led play and learning and we want this for our children for the rest of their lives !
