Since then, he has been one of my closest friends, and greatest inspirations. Any time we get into one of our deep musical conversations, he always mentions how freshman year, he really didn’t do anything at school other than marching band, which didn’t thrill him much. After being around him so much, I have begun to pick up his practicing habits, seeing as how he’s become such an amazing player from his routines.

We have gone on countless excursions and pointless adventures, from helping in each other’s promposals to going on an impromptu ten-hour road trip to Wisconsin. He’s been a reliable friend to me, and I look up to him in many ways, whether it be musical or just life.

In just one conversation, he enlightened me with all of his teenage wisdom and opened my mind to all things music, and what it means to be passionate. I think I can say with almost complete certainty that Connor has had the most impact on my life of anyone so far, and I have no doubt that he will go on to do the same for the new friends he makes in the future. His love for music runs deep, and is something I hope to emulate as a result of the powerful companionship that we hold.
