In Trujillo, there have been many armed robberies lately. People are being killed for a handbag or a mobile phone. Recently, a man was robbed just after leaving the bank. On the other hand, Trujillo has some really beautiful tourist spots that I would recommend visiting, but to be honest, I wouldn't coming at this time because crime is on the rise, and there isn’t a single authority offering a solution.

Violent crime recently has been increasing in La Libertad specially in Trujillo. Although all the efforts made by local authorities, local data that now suggests that in many areas of the city, violent crime increases have continued. There have been homicides, extortions, kidnappins, etc. My recommendation is to be aware of what we show to the others and don't expose to dangerous situations.

Well, I live in Trujillo, and nowadays my city is dangerous and not safe. To be more specific, I live in La Rinconada, and it's super dangerous around here. Recently, my neighbor had her phone stolen right outside her house. The advice I would give is to always stay alert when coming to this area and keep an eye out if anyone tries to approach you. Above all, don't take out your phone or anything valuable because you could get robbed. Usually, two people on a motorcycle commit the thefts, so you should always be careful.
