  • i feel like during the bingo session went especially well as the seniors are all able to participate actively and win prizes. Hence the seniors were more enthusiastic during this time as compared to the other activites

  • the activities allowed us to interact more with the seniors and share many joyus memories with them when we were there.

  • the main challenge was finding time and people who would be willing to participate with us . This is because many of our classmates are soft spoken people and are shy hence feel scared if they have to present infront of strangers

  • i would have planned more interactive activites as our activites did not allow us to interact that much as i would have liked.

  • i enjoyed the most was that i was able to meet many wonderful seniors and talk to them more.

  • i have learnt to be more patient when it comes to planning things with peers and that when talking to seniors we have to be calm and collected otherwise the seniors would not be able to understand us that clearly due to some language barriers.

  • All the seniors participated well and they were all having fun being happy and doing the activities.

  • The activities benefitted the seniors by helping them move around and be more active also helping them learn about current generation things.

  • So we can help the seniors and show them new things they have not done or help them move around

  • Nothing everything we did was perfect man!

  • The karaoke part was very fun so was the Zumba everybody was laughing and having so much fun moving around during those activities.

  • it probably made them very happy as they were already excited too see us when we walked into the building.

  • most of the dancers were nervous and had no enthusiasm when dancing, but when we performed at the venue, the dances were a lot better.

  • The bingo went very well during my class's VIA session with the Lion Befrienders.

    1. The activities that my class planned benefitted the seniors at Lion Befrienders as everyone actively participated and had a fun time. I felt that at that moment, those seniors felt like many people still cared for them and felt happy. During the Zumba, most of the seniors joined with us and it was like an exercise for them.

    2. The place was small that we expected so we had to adjust to that situation quickly for the activities and for Zumba, we had planned many students to dance in front of the seniors but in the end, there was only space for three to do so as other supported us at the side

    3. I felt that we did great so maybe there is nothing to improve except involving more students to participate in helping out the seniors.

    4. I enjoyed the bingo as the seniors were very happy when they won and got bingo.

    5. I learnt that we have to be more patient when it comes to handling with the seniors because they might not know or understand some simple things that we know. Therefore, we would have to teach them about it

  • One thing that went well was the activities, it was properly planed and executed. One good example was the bingo. All the old folks were having fun and were very active in the activity. There were also prizes given and that really just makes them more motivated to join in every activity and try.

  • The activities help the senior to just have fun despite their old age and their frail body. All these activities helped the seniors to have fun again and really just feel the joy again.

  • The main challenge was to motivate the elderlies at first as they dont really want to engage in the activity.

  • If i had the chance to go on a VIA again i would speak more with the elderlies and engage with them more.

  • The part i enjoy the most was the bingo as i conducted it. In my opinion it was the most well plan and the part where the seniors were most engaged.

  • I felt like the karaoke session brought together all the seniors and students and had a great bonding session. we definitely got to know them more and sang our hearts out when they played their favourite song, even if we dot not know the lyrics .

  • the seniors were definitely more active and and let them experience new things, find out about new songs and bonded with their friends, making unforgettable memory.

  • There were many conflicts between the students on what song to choose, what dance to dance to and even what game to play with the seniors.
