Your German partner will organise this first day in Aachen and come up with an attractive programme for you.

Our friends from Barcelona will arrive at Pius-Gymnasium approximately around 12.30 p.m.. The plane will reach Brussels by 9:05h in the morning. A bus will take them to Aachen.

* 8am - 9.30am: Welcome in the assembly hall, information

about the programme, group photo

* 9:45 - 12:45: Work in the workshops

* Lunch break: The German hosts spend the lunch break

with their partners and walk with them to the meeting

point in the city centre.

* 14:45: Meeting point at Aachen cathedral entrance

* 15h: Start of the guided tour of Aachen cathedral, then

release to the host families

* 8am - 12.45pm: Meeting in the workshops to work

together.

* Lunch break: Individual organisation by the hosts with

their guests. The host students accompany their guests

into the city centre.

* 14:45: Meeting point outside Aachen town hall

* 15h: Guided tour of Aachen town hall. Afterwards release

to the host family.

* 7:45 a.m.: Meeting point in Eupen (Belgium) at the railway

station

* 8:11 a.m.: Departure for Brussels - arrival 9:58 a.m.

* 11 a.m.: Visit to the House of European History in the

European Quarter of Brussels

* 13:00 p.m: Walk to the city centre to the Grand Place

* 13:30 p.m.: Refreshments and exploration of the historic

centre of Brussels around the Grand Place in small groups

* 17:30 pm: Meeting in front of Bruxelles-Central railway

station

* 18:01 pm: Departure for home - arrival in Eupen: 19:42 pm

This will be a day rich in discoveries, interesting, but also exhausting. Unfortunately, the Belgian railway was unable to provide us with any other train connections. There was no choice to return a bit earlier.

* 8am - 12.30pm: Meeting in the workshops; then dismissal

to the host families for lunch.

* 16:45h: Meeting at the school

* 17h: Start of the farewell event:

-17h: Presentation Keep Fit in the sports hall

- 17:45: Continuation of the presentations in the new

canteen

- Afterwards: Social gathering with drinks and snack buffet

* 19h: Charity concert (no donations expected :))

* 8:45 am: Meeting at Aachen Central Station

* 9:18h departure to Cologne - arrival at 10:12h

* 10:15h - 10:45h: Cathedral exploration

* 10:45h- 11:45: Walking tour of Cologne's historic city

centre and visit to the Chocolate Museum:

* 12:00h: Start of guided tours of the museum:

• group 1: 12:00h (tour in English - Barcelona)

• group 2: 12:15h (tour in French/ German -Strasbourg)

• group 3: 12:30h (tour in German - Pius)

* 13:30h: Lunch break and free time: The Pius students

organise lunch with their guests in small groups and show

them other highlights of the centre of Cologne

The French group returns to Cologne main station for a

quick lunch there. They will catch their train at 14:55h. -

railway station

* 15:47h: Return journey - arrival in Aachen at 16:41

Welcome to Aachen at Pius-Gymnasium.

We are looking forward to a wonderful week with you and our other guests from Austria, Italy and the USA.

Together we want to explore Aachen, Cologne and Brussels and carry out joint project work. We hope for eventful and exciting encounters and that our friendships will grow and last.
