It is important that as teachers we create a classroom space that sparks curiosity and allows students to create social change. Technology is such a prominent tool in our society today and we should be sure that our students have access to it as well because they can make a difference.

"Children who learn using curriculum that is based on what matters to them are more likely to feel that what they are learning is important to their lives" (p.27). I always felt like this was the case for me as a student and so I want to keep it that way when I become a teacher.

Although this was a small part of the chapter it stuck out to me. I feel that often times teachers hear a child ask a question but do not give them the full response they deserve. We should love when students ask questions because it shows that they have an interest in something. We can take their question and turn it into research project for the student so that they can learn more about what they are interested while at the same time strengthening their academic skills.

I really enjoyed this chapter. I think that technology is going to continue to be a prominent part of society for a long time to come. It is important that we teach our students that they can make a change and that technology is a great way to do it. Children often feel like their voices are not heard, but with the tool of technology they will not be silenced.
