SAVING AND INVESTMENTS

some things i would like to invest in are... because

car

this might take me a longer time because i know that cars are expensive, even if they are used by carmax or something. The type of car i want is a jeep wrangler, its my dream car, and a used one would cost around $19,699 and that is a very expensive price tag. A car is most important to me because i love to travel and drive.

education (one year)

the only reason my education would be one year is because my parents agreed to pay for any three years of my schooling at Illinois State University, goal school, which is $28,295 per year. Hopefully I will be able to take all bonuses I have from a job, or save, and use it so I do not have a student loan for long

emergencies

I am not sure how much I should save for my emergencies fund, but I should have a seperate account set aside with $2k just in case? Also, my dad said its a good idea to save extra cash in a hidden compartment just in case I run out of gas or just in case i need something right away.

wedding

I'm not that big of a fan of large weddings, but it would be nice to spend some money on an event that Ill look back on. I used to think weddings cost $100-$900 when i was a kid, but then i watched an episode of friends where monica and chandler start planning their wedding, and it was crazy. The average cost of a wedding in america is $30,000, which seems like a lot. I would be happy with a $10,000 wedding, full of friends and family.

RETIREMENT

I believe that I will be retiring with the same plan as my father. He says that once I graduate college and he still has a steady job, where he is now, he will take out all of the money saved up. I want to be able to have some sort of job, whether it be a student teacher or camp counselor, when i get out of college. It would be best for me to have two jobs at most because finding self enrichment jobs can be tough in schools. Once i find a school I absolutely love, there is no way i will move from it unless i want to retire or i am moved for a personal reason. Although, since I love the school atmosphere, I will try to stay where i am for a long time. With this, i hope to be financially stable enough to buy an apartment with my spouse and have all of our kids out of the house by then.

I have had a debit card there for over three years, and both of my parents are joint with chase. Also, they are a very common bank, so if i was to go to the city or anywhere on vacation, there would be a very high chance of the larger chain banks being available.
https://www.chase.com/

I wanted to buy a full house but those were running for $400k, and I don't need a fancy house to be happy. Also with a 15 year fixed plan, I wont be as tied down to the house if i were to move. the only other option was 30 year fixed, and by then I would want to be in a house with me and my spouse. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3178-Shikra-Vw-Colorado-Springs-CO-80916/121870194_zpid/?fullpage=true
