They drop off Odysseus on the shore of Ithaca.
When Poseidon sees that Odysseus has reached Ithaca he is enraged.
He complains to Zeus, who allows him to punish the Phaeacians for helping Odysseus.
Odysseus wakes up on the shore of Ithaca but does not recognize his land at first. 
Athena disguised as a shepherd first and then the goddess reveals that she helped him all along throughout his journey home to Ithaca.
She tells him about the suitors and makes a plan to find out who is still loyal to Odysseus.
Athena turned Odysseus into a beggar so that people wouldn't recognize him.
Eumaios,  Odysseus' swineherd proved that he'd been loyal to him all this time.

  • While Odysseus is asleep they make it to the coast of Ithaca and crew drops sleeping Odysseus and his treasure off and make their way back.
  • Poseidon, realizing Odysseus made it home, gets angry and turns the Phaeacian ship to stone.
  • King Alcinous sees this and remembers the prophecy from earlier and whacks himself on the head.
  • Athena reveals herself to Odysseus and turns him into a begger.
Book 14:
  • Odysseus goes to a swineherds' house and is treated with food, drink, and a bed.
