^{Facebook has become a constant in my life now, so much that is scary how I can't go for a few hours without checking it. It has become the norm in our lifetime that if someone our age says they don't have a facebook account that they're 'wierd' or 'out of touch' with our generation. But not having one can't be such a bad thing can it? It takes up so much of our lives that we miss out or forget the important things ( other than things people share like new relationships or ending of relationships for the whole world to see) BUT I don't think I could now live without my facebook account, I have so many friends across the world that share the same views, fight the same fights and stand up for what is right.}

The filters, hastags # all that nonsense used to bug me. Especially since I 'm a photographer I used to think it was a cheap way of getting good pictures without any effort. But since I've started using it I can see how much of a powerful tool it can be to help people get out of ruts, help people with mental health issues/problems or just be somewhere where people can talk 
Below is a guy that has suffered these things but with being in the public eye, it has been much harder for him to deal with. Trying to please everyone and making sure he doesn't upset his fans with having to postpone filming of his most famous TV series 'Supernatural'. Using Instagram he has spread awareness using his tagline 'Always Keep Fighting'. This has brought so many people together. It has become the norm to share, post like and dislike people posts, views and opinions. I feel that it can be a healthy way of showing differing opinions, views and beliefs, without putting yourself in too much of harms way. I am very much influenced by social media as I am a firm believer in animal rights and part of many animal rights movements. Everything from the Hunt Saboteurs right through to greyhound and horse racing. I can air my views alongside people that always have my back, especially against those that disagree with me. Its a media platform where everybody is right and how dare you if your wrong or have a differing opinion.
