We all have blue eyes and that is the only consistent feature that shows similarity to our appearance. After drawing I shaded using cross-hatching and my finger in order to add dimension. Throughout my entire life I have struggled to find purpose and meaning but faith has helped me to get rid of that fear. In side the chain of the cross is my favorite bible verse Romans 8:28 which reads, And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. I drew my cross because I know that God has a purpose for me and everything happens for a reason. While I may be lost now I know that it is only temporary and that god has a plan for my life.

Hawaii is a very special place to my family and I, as my mom owns a small condo in Honolulu that we have been staying at since I was little. I chose the lyrics from the song "See You Again" by Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa because I haven't gone back to visit Hawaii in three years, and I miss it a lot. I chose the thunderstruck lyric as it was a good memory of my baseball team, which my uncle coached. I figured I would draw the lyrics as if they were a channel on a TV screen. I used the background of the city because his office was in Boston.
