         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hannah Senesh was born in Budapest, Hungary on July 17, 1921.&nbsp; She was born as the daughter of an author and a journalist into a Jewish family.&nbsp; Hannah had one sibling and his name was Gyorgy Senesh.&nbsp; She loved writing as a child and wrote poems such as "<strong><em>Eli, Eli.</em></strong>"&nbsp; She went to school at the Girl's Agricultural School in Nahala. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Roberta Grossman created "<strong><em>Blessed is the Match</em></strong><em>" back in 2008.&nbsp; </em>She saw the sacrifice Hannah took to save the Jewish people from being processed (Which meant killed in the holocaust).&nbsp; Joan Allen played as Hannah in the movie.&nbsp; The movie is based on the book, "<strong><em>Blessed is the Match</em></strong>" by Marie  Syrkin.  The book was made published in 1947.</div>]]></description>

         <title>War Hero and Martyr</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hannah joined the British Army and volunteered to be a paratrooper in Europe.&nbsp; She almost immediately parachuted to Yugoslavia in March of 1944.&nbsp; <strong>“On June 7, 1944, the height of the deportation of Hungarian Jews, Senesh crossed the border into Hungary.”</strong>&nbsp; Hannah was immediately captured by the Hungarian police.&nbsp; She was imprisoned and tortured for 3 months.&nbsp; On her trial in October of 1944, she defended her activities and refused to request clemency.&nbsp; She was executed by the firing squad on November 7, 1944.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Hannah was Jewish and when she found out what was happening because of the Nazi's, she wanted to help save the Jewish people that are just like her.&nbsp; The reason she was killed because she was not cooperating with Nazi's and wasn't giving inside details of her mission.&nbsp; She may have been going to be killed anyway because she was Jewish but she saved many lives.&nbsp; Martyr is a person who is killed because of their religion or other beliefs.</div>]]></description>
