The book was made published in 1947.]]> 2022-02-16 16:08:06 UTC https://padlet.com/farleyevan26/ilix9j2nbt9h5rob/wish/2051227511 farleyevan26 https://padlet.com/farleyevan26/ilix9j2nbt9h5rob/wish/2051244275 Hannah joined the British Army and volunteered to be a paratrooper in Europe.  She almost immediately parachuted to Yugoslavia in March of 1944.  “On June 7, 1944, the height of the deportation of Hungarian Jews, Senesh crossed the border into Hungary.”  Hannah was immediately captured by the Hungarian police.  She was imprisoned and tortured for 3 months.  On her trial in October of 1944, she defended her activities and refused to request clemency.  She was executed by the firing squad on November 7, 1944. She is buried at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery in Israel.
