To me this poem is a metaphor. To each ending (a dreadful fire) there is a new beginning (newly planted trees). Something bad happens in your life, you are burned from its fiery destruction. After the fire burns everything to the ground and leaves it bare and empty, new growth occurs. After the destruction a new and beautiful beginning will come

This poem hits me on a personal and very emotional level. It uses repetition of the phrase "Why do you beat yourself up" to get a point across that it isn't her fault that this happened to her. This poem was written by the author for a dear friend who had been cheated on. It doesn't use much metaphor that could be related to different people in different situations, but sadly it can be related to by many. This poem is meant to give her friend courage and to open her eyes.

This poem uses end rhyme which gives it a kind of flowing rhythm. Its all about when we see the good in people, when we believe them when they say they are sorry. Why do we let them back in and believe them after their lies? Why do we give them so many second chances? We strive to believe and see the good in others just to get hurt again.

There is repetition of the phrase "Nobody knows" to emphasis what is hidden and what is hurting inside. She let her happiness depend on someone and now that they are gone it's like the happiness is too. Everyone only sees what she pretends to be. The only person who knows whats truly inside is ourselves. No ones knows our souls deeper than us.

The repetition emphasizes rhythm and emotion in this poem. This is someone who sees whats hidden behind her friends mask, she knows the hurt shes feeling. I, too, went through this. She loves her dear friend and doesn't want to see her dying inside. Her friend is broken and shes trying to help and fix it. In the process of trying to help her heal, she realizes her friend isn't there mentally anymore; he's changed.

Londrelle uses end rhyme in his lyrics which helps keep the tune in the song and make it stick in your head. He uses comparison and kind of a word play to emphasize what he's meaning. Someone who truly wants you or needs you won't put themselves in a position to lose you.

Londrelle uses a common metaphor in these lyrics about "life is a roller coaster". He also uses repetition of "You know?" which is a rhetorical question because he knows that you know what he is talking about. He's telling you everyone has ups and downs and hardships, but there's always happiness. All of this helps us grow in the long run. Throughout the ride we call "life" we become better people.

In this I used personification because its one of my favorite things to do when it comes to feelings and emotions; I make them a person rather than just an emotion. Anger isn't who I am, it's a whole other person I can't control. Thoughts that I can't keep from thinking. Anger burns through me, it makes me feel uncomfortable in my own skin. No matter how hard I try, I revert back to anger. I'm trying to find who is to blame for all this pain.

Explanation - Fine

When I wrote this I used repetition of "It's fine, I'm fine" to emphasize both the lie that it is and how often I must say it. I made every line in between rhyme to put emphasis between what I say versus what I feel. We all say we are fine sometimes even though we aren't. Why do we do that? Why do we continue to lie and hurt others? Why do we hide what we feel?
