In this chapter lennie is one of the main characters.lennie and George  just found a new ranch to work on because lennie got them fired for him touching a ladys dress and holding onto it and she thot he was trying to rape her.An obstacle lennie has is he is not smart and cant remember anything.He influences other people by not talking to them because he doesnt know what to say to them.
