Their life and the way they lived made me think of poverty. The reason for that being is because of the way the book was written, like everything that was explained, and the way the detailed everything. The way the you see Africa when that word is said to you, you think of poverty, and let me tell you, Africa isn't all poverty at all, it is actually beautiful. But as the book tells everything, it makes you think... POVERTY. From this book I did learn more about magic realism and how it works putting it in real life things. This book was actually very confusing, but if you think hard you can remember the little things that can get to people, and feel sad and awful. Food wasn't much over there as I keep saying poverty was a big thing in this book and the way things were in this region. Holidays weren't much talked about in this story either.

Why might this poem matter to me?: This poem matters to me because I am against all of the racism, and slavery. The reason for that being is because to me everyone in the world is equal, everyone is the same, and everyone should be treated equally. To me I don't get why the world is the way it is against to other races.
Why might this poem matter to the people around me?: So this poem may matter to others because possibly the same reason that I done said. A lot of people around me are against racism and they think as what I have said for my perspective.
Why might this poem matter to the world?: This poem may matter to the world because I feel like it reflects, slavery, and poverty, mostly like racism as well. Why? because the way the little boy has written it way all mainly about racism and how they were treated differently from others because of the color of skin.

Well, I learned about like the way people lived such as like the farming and what not. Did not know that it was a big thing in Africa to farm and have the animals for things and what not. What I learned may matter to me for further things that I need for projects in the future, or what if I randomly get stopped and asked things about Africa, it can always be useful. Why might it matter to the people around me; for all it may not, but is those who do care it may be just because they like to have that kind of information for further things. Who knows. Maybe be same reasons I listed myself. WELLLL, from my interview and things that I will be learning from that could matter to the world because things in Africa can be seen differently. Now that someone connected to Africa or from there has spoken and said things to make the air clear and let people know maybe that it's not actually what they think about it.
https://www.diigo.com/o/dxwjiv/cultural%20exchange%20project

Why might this book be important to me? WELLL it actually is important to me, it helps me see life and how the wars were in Africa. It helps with further research, and for my knowledge.
Why might this story matter to the people around me? Well they may want to know it for their knowledge. just to have and know information about it. Not so sure if people are thinking the way I do about it.
Why might this story matter to the world? The same reason really, so that they know what goes on and how they live in Africa, after and during a war like how this book explained it all.

And now everyone thinks poverty when they think of Africa, but he made sure to inform me that it was really nothing like that. Everyone there was loving and caring and everyone was nice to one another.

- This book was more about the African American people. How they were treated and a story telling the readers what it was like being a maid.
- why might this book matter to me: It matters to me because it informes me more on life of a African American doing its job as others seen them to be. What they thought they were used for when they shouldn't of been treated different from any other person because of their color.
- Why might this book matter to the ones around me: I feel like it'll help them understand more from where the person comes from and how their life was and how they were treated.
- Why might this book matter to the world: Basically the same reason. So that they notice more and have a heart for the people and see what they really went through.

The legend of creation.

- The legend was from Egypt, Africa.
https://www.wevideo.com/view/1052133502
- Above is the link to our project based on the Legend.
- The legend is about two gods who wait around for the time of creation until one of the gods Atum speeds up the process by mating with his shadow to birth two children. The children were both tasked with guiding the humans and civilizing them but when they realized they could not do it alone so they used their own shadows to create more beings. Atum finds them and takes away one of them so the humans cannot have her, He falls into a deep sleep and believes that they will all die but the goddess was pregnant and released her children down to the earth where they all guide the humans while still protecting the earth.
-The theme was really creation. Like it was explained above. On how they created everything and how they sped up the process.
- The class didn't really react any way, well they didn't show reaction but who knows what they thought in their heads.
- We had all the strengths to be able to complete this project. We started from scratch, and it wasn't the best, but it was something and we all worked really hard to get it good and done for it to be shown.
- I feel like the weakness was the way things were put together, if we had more planning time, I feel like we could have went out the box with this and took it to a whole other level. But time is key.
- Why might it matter to me: Our project mattered to me because it was explaining the creation of something in Egypt Africa.
- Why might it matter to the people around me: I'm not really sure because some people don't intake it and some people don't understand it as much. But they should see that it matters because they see how things were created, they were explained how something was created, if they paid attention.
- Why might it matter to the world: Knowing and seeing what happens around the world in different places. Seeing what the people do and what they go through.

It may affect them in different but good ways, they also may like the meaning of it.
- Why might this book matter to the world? Well it'll tell them how they treated bonobos and what the people from the book went through. Gives them a piece of mind.

Creating this website made me feel good. One thing I've never done in my life, and well now is done is create a good website the way I did with this one. It's actually very organized and I wouldn't be ashamed to show it out because I know that it's good. It's also based on a good book with a good meaning. Yes I liked the experience because it's something I've never done, again, but it was a nice experience.

Reading Historical Fiction

The reason for that being is because I think that having a written response from someone who has read the book is another captivating thing besides the little writing they sometimes have on the back of the book about the theme of it. The meaning. Although for myself I did not like having to write in a description about the book, especially not much. The reason I say that is because sometime you can explain the book without spoiling it in about 10-20 words. Yes I do think that my website is captivating and successful in analyzing my novel. Why, because like I stated above, you don't need a big paragraph to explain or to captivate someone attention to read the book.
1. Why might this book matter to me?
- For me is because again, I learn things I never knew about, even if it's just a story it's good to have different point of views. Such as how it's written.
2. Why might this book matter to those around me?
- Well it can mean the same as I said for myself. But not only that, they may take it very personal and love the book and use it for something. "experience" and such things like that.
3. Why might this book matter to the world?
- This book may matter to the world because one day someone will be looking for a book like this.
1. for the meaning
2. For the way it's written
3. For the designed pictures

The reason for that being is because The entire year was based on this final cultural exchange project. Yes there was different things we did in class here and there but most of the reading and projects lead to this. In my honest opinion I did like the idea of this cultural exchange project. It was different but kinda fun actually. It was like my group and I had everything in our hands and we actually were in charge of the outcome of everything. Although my group and I's project could have been better, we honestly tried our best. What I learned about myself was that I can speak publically from this experience. If I were to do anything differently in this project I think I'd change the set up, and really have it like a party with decorations and what not. Honestly it was hard finding Africa decorations. Before we did the project I was kind of nervous about it, then while planning it I thought "OH this is a piece of cake" Then after I did think it went good, but I rather do things on my own, especially if it's a big part of MY grade. I don't really depend on others because they always let you down, and sometimes people do things without letting you know. Throughout the year I started off with knowing not so much about Africa, but as I ended the year I learned a whole lot of my world region.

1. Why might this cultural exchange matter to me?
- It matters to me because I was teaching others, it gave me an opportunity to feel like I was educating others in areas they didn't know much about.
2. Why might this Cultural Exchange Project matter to the people around me?
- Well because some of them have learned about new things and it's always good to learn about different things and have information about lots of different places and things.
3. Why might this Cultural Exchange Project matter to the world?
- Because the world is judgemental on their opinions and things they've heard, but it's good to know facts.
