Jean Louise aka (Scout) is the narrator of the story, who we see is 6 at the beginning of the story and as the story progresses we watch her grow from 6-9. Scout is more of a tomboy who would rather solve things fighting then solving thing more civil. She is sort of an unusual little girl she is very smart for her age considering she can read even before entering grade school. Aside from that she is a kind and sweet little girl, although she'll go out and fight a boy without being hesitant or being afraid. Such as when she says this "Atticus had promised me he would wear me out if he ever heard of me fighting any more; I was far too old and too big for such childish things, and the sooner I learned to hold in, the better off everybody would be." (9.1). But while being tough, she is a sweet heart too and very smart, she is able to understand whats going on during all the racial prejudice and discrimination, but kinda only wants to see the good and ignore the evil, but she'll be through the story she starts to have more of an adult perspective on everything that's happening. She has a one main question/problem, and that's that she wants to know everything about Boo Radley. The mst memorable thing to me was when they played the game of Boo Radley and she says this "As the summer progressed, so did our game. We polished and perfected it, added dialogue and plot until we had manufactured a small play upon which we rang changes every day."(4.95).But throughout the story we will probably see Scout progress in maturity and she will be able to have more of an understanding to whats going on with the racial discrimination and prejudice in the story.
