"I may not know it
But these are the moments, that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going" The Climb by Miley Cyrus.
"I told him. And as I walked on I was lonely no longer. I was a guide, a pathfinder, an original settler. He had casually conferred me the freedom of the neighborhood." Pg 8 of The Great Gatsby.
I chose that lyric in the song to show that after everything in the town, but getting asked that one question was like a big part for him. He realized that he means something, and he is going to remember that moment.

The dog is just sitting there, bored, not doing anything. The least it could do is have a little bit of fun and have meaning.

"He looked at me sideways — and I knew why Jordan Baker had believed he was lying. He hurried the phrase “educated at Oxford,” or swallowed it, or choked on it, as though it had bothered him before. And with this doubt, his whole statement fell to pieces, and I wondered if there wasn’t something a little sinister about him, after all." Pg 51 of The Great Gatsby.
I would gift Nick a lie detector. I would gift Nick a lie detector so he could know the truth about his neighbor and everyone else. So he didn't have to try and make himself believe the stories they tell him.

It’s too late!” He looked at his watch as if there was some pressing demand on his time elsewhere. “I can’t wait all day.”' Pg 65 of The Great Gatsby.

I chose that lyric in the song to show how much Gatsby was thinking about Daisy, and how much he was overthinking about Daisy and be scared and wanting to just go home. He is always thinking about her sometimes a little too much.

Want U Back by Cher Lloyd.
"'I wouldn’t ask too much of her,” I ventured. “You can’t repeat the past.” “Can’t repeat the past?” he cried incredulously. “Why of course you can!” He looked around him wildly, as if the past were lurking here in the shadow of his house, just out of reach of his hand. “I’m going to fix everything just the way it was before,” he said, nodding determinedly. “She’ll see.'" Pg 85 of The Great Gatsby.

I chose that lyric of that song because Gatsby see's Tom and Daisy is just obsessed over the fact of having Daisy. Wants her back so bad he is about to go crazy.
