         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Revolutionary War (1775-83), also known as the American Revolution, arose from growing tensions between residents of Great Britain’s 13 North American colonies and the Colonial government, which represented the British crown.<br>The Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle of the American Revolutionary War. It led to the surrender of Cornwallis and the capture of both him and his army. The Continental Army’s victory at Yorktown pushed the British government to negotiate an end to the War.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Two years later, The Treaty of Paris was signed by U.S. and British Representatives on September 3, 1783, ending the War of the American Revolution.&nbsp;<br>The Treaty of Paris ended the Revolutionary War between Great Britain and the U.S., recognized American independence, and established borders for the new nation.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>African Americans played an important role in the Revolution. They fought at Fort Ticonderoga and the Battle of Bunker Hill. A slave helped row George Washington across the Delaware. Some slaves served as soldiers. Altogether, some 5,000 free blacks and slaves served in the Continental army during the Revolution. By 1778, many states, including Virginia, granted freedom to slaves who served in the Revolutionary war.</div>]]></description>

It happened in 1770 and was located by the Boston Customs House in Boston. The Boston Massacre was the product of the increase of Redcoats in Boston.</div>]]></description>
