In this situation the trainer is the motivator and the trainees are the motivated.

 A trainer must be well equipped with subject knowledge and has an egalitarian relation with the learners. They should devise activities according to the interest of the learners and let them to take over most of them with decreasing support as they learn. Build on their old knowledge. Use the problem solving ability of the learners to enhance their learning and improve their classroom practises. Trigger their ability of being goal oriented and let them have case studies which needs further research and study. Explore what they want to learn and build on to their knowledge they have. Hands on experience is a must as adult learners are practical.
