Identified common students with a D/F. Tutoring was offered but few continued to come. About 5 for each area.

History department

Members spent the majority of the time working on and discussing work towards peer observations and instructional rounds.

Engagement has been collaborative recently with good cooperation and occasional problem solving on individual issues.

I noticed that many teachers are struggling with getting the students to engage in student to student discussions and how to keep the groups on task.

I notice despite our vast differences in our department, were able to work collaboratively very well.

I think that in and of itself is surprising, but also, how a collaborative event like we had a couple of weeks ago could be sucha rich learning opportunity.

What is missing or has been a challenge has been being able to continue doing the work we're doing that lies outside traditional learning spaces because of bureaucratic obstacles.

DLE & HOA

At our last academy meeting, both the DLE & HOA joined together in an effort to learn together on the concept of "Translanguaging"- a district mandated PD; this experience provided a great opportunity to collaborate and to engage with other members outside our assigned academy.
