Leadership: "Fought only to save his life, to bring his shipmates home". (Homer Line *) This is saying that he only cares about his shipmates lives and he is trying very hard to get his shipmates home in one piece. Bravery: "blown off course by shifting gales on Great South Sea; homeward bound, but taking routes and ways uncommon: so the will of Zeus would have it" . (Homer Line 205) He is showing bravery here because he is taking uncommon routes just because of Zeus. Wisdom + Intelligence: "'My ship? Poseidon Lord, who sets the earth a-tremble, broke it up on the rocks at your land's end." (Homer Line 230) Odysseus is saying that all his boats broke when they hit the rocks cause of Poseidon, but he is lying because only one of his boats is still working. Another sign of bravery he showed is when he told his son that he will defeat the Suitors with his son's help, also to let the guys beat him up just so they can get close to them. Bravery: "If they make fun of me in my own courtyard, let your ribs cage up your springing heart, no matter what I suffer, no matter if they pull me by the heels or practice shots at me, to drive me out".
