For this reason it is important to focus on the both positive or negative effects of media multitasking on advertisement.

Numerous researchers are interested in the association between the portrayal of men and women in advertisements and their corresponding products. First, they found multiple differences between the representation of men and women in television advertisements. Men are mostly represented as the strong ones, while women appeared more often in domestic roles and settings. Moreover, a link was found between gender and the types of products which were advertised on television. Women are more likely than men to promote body care and household cleaning products. Despite the fact that men were most often associated with
advertisements for beverages. Therefore, marketing people are playing with the gender related products in their advertisements.

We can see that there is a cultural difference between several countries. Research has shown how some countries still have stereotypes towards the LGBTQ community. The online environment can be problematic due to the fact that mental health problems can arise when children start to compare themselves and their lives. A solution commonly referred to is parental mediation, which includes that parents control the time their child spends on sociale media. There are three types of parental mediation that is instructive mediation, co-viewing and restrictive mediation. Although all three of them can influence certain health outcomes, restrictive mediation in particular influences depressive symptoms. Researchers are still investigate this topic, hoping to find new variables that influences other mental health problems.

Characters in programs for children are significantly less stereotyping in terms of gender than children's programs 20 years ago. Children do watch considerably more televison than before, the age group of 8 to 18 watches the most hours of televison of all. Stereotyping characters can influence the way children look at gender and identity a great deal. Boys feature in a significant amount od action and adventure programs, whereas girls are most common in teenage programs. Girls are still being portrayed more stereotypically than boys, focussing specifically on beauty. Gerbner's cultivation theory shows that this can be problematic, thanks to the fact that children base their concept of reality on what they see on television, which causes a less accurate vision of reality.

Authors investigated the relationship between cinema and psychopathy and how psychopats are portrayed in movies. The research shows us that psychopaths in movies are often showed as a stereotype. Furthermore movies try to dramatize psychopaths and give them a lot of characteristics they do not own in real life, which results in the fact that the audience has an inflected picture of psychopathy. Therefor, it would be better to try portraying the psychopaths in movies more realistic so the audience might get a better picture of how this mental disorder affects them in real life. However, in the last few years there has been a positive evolution in the portrayal of psychopaths on the silver screen. Even though psychopats are often misrepresented, there is a trend to a more realistic portrayal and we should really focus on that. For example psychiatrist could give lectures about the behavior of psychopaths, resulting in more consciousness about them for the audience.

Apparently social media can cause mental health issues, and therefore can damage our concentration in class. Due to the fact that people dont sleep enough, they are much more susceptible. More and more people are using a smartphone nowadays, consequently there is an increase of menthal health issues in our population. But having a different identity online, than you have in real life, doesn't mean you're deceiving anyone. Those are different facets of your identity. like Goffman says in his dramaturgic perspective, we have a front and a back stage. Our front stage is how we chose to show ourselves, while our back stage is our true self. Sometimes, your true self might show itself accidentally on the front stage, this phenomenon is called a give off. When using computer-mediated communication, you are on a front stage and might not even show the best version of yourself. Goffman uses the metaphor of the mask to explain this: we wear a mask on the Internet.

Research shows that the stereotypical representation of rape cases in US-news reproduces rape myths.
