         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;The 18th amendment of the constitution prohibited the manufacture transport or sale of alcohol. This amendment led Americans to start using illegal drugs and they drank more. Increased the presence of gangs which resulted in a constant fight. It led to increase in the amount of crime and closing of businesses.</div>]]></description>

In the era of Social Darwinism many people only thought of survival of the fittest, Then enter Walter Rauschenbusch<br>a New York Pastor and theologian dedicated himself to revising the attitude of the American Christian. He believed the church agenda had replaced it with Jesus´s agenda. As &nbsp; protestant in America was the first to push this idea. This also created the YMCA and The Salvation Army. the YMCA was an affordable place to workout while the Salvation Army fed the poor and gave them clothes.
