Connor said it was a motorway and Rory's mum said it was a witch on her broomstick swooshing through the sky but Rory said cat. Rory painted jagged yellow lines in the centre of the paper and then dripped some brown paint over the top of the jagged yellow lines. Connor said said it was the sun playing with the moon and the sun just scored a try and the sun is covered in mud. Rory's mum said it's a banana that's been run over by a fruit truck. With the brush in each hand and Rory dotted spots on the page and dashes with different colours all over the page. It was a courier with a parcel for mum. Connor called mum to come to the door to come and sign the paper. When they came back to the kitchen, Rory's brush was covered with purple paint. Rory's mum asked what did he paint this time. She  said it was squashy ripe plums or pansies in a jar. Connor pointed down and a trail of purple footprints was across the kitchen floor to the cat flap. Rory's mum open the door. Outside on the ground, splodge sat busily licking his paws. He was from the tip of his ears  covered in purple spots. Rory said cat while he was waving his brush triumphantly. If you ask what it was he will always says it was a cat. He grabbed the brush with his fist and splotched blue and red blobs on the paper. Rory's Mum and Connor studied the blobs closely, while splodge the cat wounded around their legs. Rory's mum said it was Brussels sprouts. Connor  said it was a space monster.
