We learnt about celiated ephitelial cells and we also learnt about the goblet calls<br><strong><br>we learnt about breathing , when you breath you breath, you breath in oxygen through the trachea then the bronchi, broncheols, alveoli and al the way to the gas exchange where the capillaries are and this is called respiration and where it produces energy and then the waste energy will exhale that takes out carbon dioxide</strong><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>we have learned about the difference between respiration and breathing. respiration is taken place in the cells mitochondria while breathing takes place in the lungs. respiration is when oxygen + glucose makes carbon dioxide + water and breathing is when your respiratory system muscles move. There are many things in the blood such as  RBC,WBC(machrophage and neutrophils),platelets and plasma. RBC contains hemoglobin and has no nucleus. WBC fight certain pathogens and viruses and are very flexible. Platelets clot blood when there is a wound. Plasma transports RBC through the body  and contain carbon dioxide and excess water.   </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>BLOOD<br>The components of blood include plasma (a yellow liquid) that carries red blood cells (that give the blood its color), white blood cells (or soldier cells that fight foreign bodies such as viruses), and carbon dioxide.<br><br>RBC<br>RBCs or red blood cells have hemoglobin that carries oxygen to different parts of the body. They have no nucleus and a biconcave shape for more space to store oxygen. They don't have any mitochondria as they need to carry the oxygen and the mitochondria would take up the oxygen for respiration.<br><br>RESPIRATORY SYSTEM<br>The respiratory system's function is to send oxygen to all parts of the body. first, you breathe in air through your mouth or nose which goes down the trachea or windpipe, then to the bronchi which become bronchioles which go to the alveoli in the lungs where they diffuse. When you breathe in, the diaphragm and the intercostal muscles contract and your lungs expand, and when you breathe out the diaphragm, the intercostal muscles and your lungs relax</div>]]></description>

It happens naturally.<br><br>When you inhale, the diaphragm contracts, and when you exhale it relaxes.<br><br>When neutrophils corner the bacteria and destroys it, the process is called phagocytosis.<br><br>To measure your BPM, we usually count the amount of beats in 15 seconds, then multiply that by 4 to get the approximate amount.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Blood:<br>We learned about the components of blood and what they do. The three components of blood are plasma, white blood cells(WBC) and red blood cells(RBC). Platelets are another part of blood and the help us clot blood  when we are injured<br><br>The functions are:<br>Plasma carries carbon dioxide and nutrients<br>WBC is the first line of defense for the immune system and kills bacteria<br>RBC use hemoglobin to capture and transport oxygen<br><br>WBC and RBC are specialized cells and have certain adaptations to help them<br><br>Red Blood Cells have no nucleus to increase space for hemoglobin and have no mitochondria as they use oxygen and it will reduce the efficiency of the red blood cells.<br>They are produced in the bone marrow with white blood cells as well. They have a lifespan of about 1 week.<br><br>White Blood Cells are flexible so they can squeeze into possible spots where bacteria might be at. They self destruct or die after they eat many germs and bacteria.<br><br>Respiration:<br>We learned about the part of the respiratory system, which are the nasal cavity, the trachea, the bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli.<br>We learned that oxygen passes through the  nasal cavity or oral cavity through the trachea, bronchi, bronchioles and finally to the alveoli.<br>We learned that the alveoli increase the surface area for oxygen to diffuse to the blood in the capillaries. There are ciliated epithelial cells which have celli to brush mucus produced from the goblet cells away from the lungs and stop germs from going into the lungs.<br>Alveoli have capillaries around them where the oxygen diffuses to as there is less oxygen in the deoxygenated blood which is in the capillaries there and vice versa for carbon dioxide.<br>Aerobic respiration is a chemical reaction where oxygen and glucose react to form energy.<br>The diaphragm and intercostal muscles help us breathe by expanding and contracting the lungs by relaxing and contracting.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
