Classroom has been my new favorite app! It allows you to see what is on everyone's iPad at once. I've been using it for classroom management, as well as to share student work. It is a lot faster than Airplay! I will show a student's screen and have them complete a punnett square for the class. Definitely increases student engagement!

We will be utilizing iPads to engage students within our lessons when we get back from winter break. We will use iPads for individual learning via Canvas and Ed Puzzle. Us teachers will also be using the data generated while using these apps. We are so excited!

I enjoy using Quizlet for vocabulary. Green screen project for students to jigsaw history lessons. I use Paddlet for discussions. Chatterpix is awesome for introducing historical figures or major characters in stories. Google slides is a fun way for students to define vocabulary words or to create a presentation on a topic. Kahoot is great for review and to see where your class is at. Last, Canvas quizzes are efficient way to gage student understanding and it makes grading easy because the quiz grades sync to Skyward.

I'm trying to find engaging ways to select apps that allow for individual choice for projects. We did something using Book Creator which was really fun, and the kids' products were VERY different... I really like it when they go above and beyond due to choice!
Also, Apple Classroom! Very cool to be able to have tools to assist, lock in program, and usually use to help students not be distracted by their device.
I WANT to implement Socrative as my next steps with the iPad for instant assessment and Exit Tickets... soon!!! :)

I use Poll everywhere sometimes to poll/quiz students anonymously. This allows students to answer openly without fear of being put on the spot.

If we are using a new mathematical term I'll sometimes have students look it up and write it in their own words as well.

Lastly, students really like quizzlet live for a quiz review. It's a fun way to get students moving around in different groups and reviewing terms.

I recently started using the iPads for discussions. They could use the discussion on canvas to add a comment without feeling pressured to say something in front of the whole group.
