Working on this project was very fun, all us got to be more in touch and explore the very own city that we live in, be more connected to its culture, create and test its amazing flavors. watch the most antique popular movies. Being completely honest, the thing that i found the most interesting was creating one of the most popular dishes in the city, which is cortadillo, i never really bothered to look into the process of making it but after that i can say that i'm surprised on how we can create a mixture of flavors with very simple ingredients. Going to the “Mercado de la Florida” was really fun, it has been a long time since i haven't visited it, but i can say that you can find whatever you want for whatever price. The amounts of clothes from different brands is amazing, some of them bring clothes from the US and sell them at retail price but either way they’re still accessible. A variety goods like chips, drinks, food, if you get there early and decide to eat, tacos are a great choice with a nice cold coke, and my personal favorite part, is seeing all of the ladies playing “loteria” with the coke’s glass lids, really fun and entertaining experience.

We can learn from this project that Mexico have different faces, from the faboulus different type of foods, to their terrible presidential debates that should help the Mexican to select their president, all of them being not that serious at the moment of arguing their proposals for Mexico future, even when this debate was going to handle the most important themes in the country.

We too learn that every piece of media is Golden, this one being the Mexican cinema in their most important stage of their whole existence, the golden age of Mexican cinema, this era being represented by one of the greatest actors of all times, Cantinflas. We saw one of his most important movies, Los Olvidados.

All together worked together to create the magnificient Cortadillo that we made for this challenge, we too record the way we cooked the Cortadillo as a tik tok, and we are Regios so we made it in the Regio style with the stereotypical accent of this zone, for what I’m sorry is that we didn’t made the “ Y que chille “.

For the last part of the challenge we made the approach to a “Mercadito”, being really cool.

These challenge has been a great experience, I’ve learned so much during these activity even things they have always been there close to me but didn’t even look to close to notice them, like all the work that requires to do a cortadillo and also the experience, i was a pretty pleasant experience, to top to bottom when we got the ingredients and during the making of the video it was al great, also washing a movie but unjust any kind of movie a cine de oro mexicano movie, it was also great since we could see the difference in technology but also as a society since it talked about some things movie nowadays would not. It was also great getting to see a mercado and enter the stores inside, getting to watch a presidential debate and to analyze it was fantastic and seeing and wearing with much depth the candidate's proposals and what they want to do to change the society was great, overall I’ve had a awesome time during the making of these activity and didn’t even feel as work, that a way to describe how crazy good was the project.

This project was a journey through the many steps of this project, from its fabulous and famous

nuevoleoneses food plates to its golden age movies. We observed the presidential debates, which

is important to Mexico future and ours. And finally but not less important we visited the Mercado

de la Florida which was fun and tranquilizer to go during study days for final exams.

Our collective efforts led to the creation of the delicious Cortadillo, a popular dish in our city. We

recorded the cooking process on TikTok, showcasing the Regio style and characteristics of our

region.

The other part of our project involved a visit to a local "Mercadito" which was a cool experience.

This, along with the other elements of our project, allowed us to connect more deeply with our

city and its culture.

We also approach into the golden age of Mexican cinema, represented by one of the greatest

actors of all time, Roberto Codo. We watched, "Los Olvidados," which was both entertaining and

enlightening.

In conclusion, this project was a beautiful experience that allowed us to explore the different

aspects of Mexican culture, from its food and cinema to its politics and local markets. It was a fun

and educational journey that brought us closer to our roots and gave us a deeper appreciation for

our city and its rich culture.

We watched "Los Olvidados" (1950), directed by Luis Buñuel at Alberto’s house which al of us thinks that was a very good and entertaining movie from the golden age of Mexico cinematography history.
