I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Education with a Communication Arts Literature Endorsement.

I attended college on a Speech Scholarship.

I wasn't ready to leave my Speech career in High School. While earning my undergrad degree, I traveled around the country to compete. In 2019, our team placed 12th at AFA-NIET hosted by the University of Alabama.

In college, I won 9 state championships in the categories of Prose, Poetry, Drama Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Duo. On the national stage, I advanced to multiple quarterfinal, semifinal, and final rounds in Prose, Drama, and Original Oratory (persuasive speaking.)

I will graduate from MNSU in May of 2025.

I am currently a student in MNSU's Communication and Composition Masters Program. I am currently taking 2 classes.

Jackson and I live with our cat, Stella Marie.

I love her more than anything. She loves my husband more than anything and could care less about me. That's the dynamic and I've accepted it.

We also live with our dog, Wrigley.

Jackson convinced me he NEEDED a hunting dog to help him retrieve ducks. As it turns out, Wrigley prefers to stay in the house with me and watch the wildlife from afar.

BUT we did not date each other (seriously) until I was in my last year of College.

My parents owned The Gathering Grounds Coffee Shop in Perham for 22 years.

Chocolate is my favorite thing to eat.

Even so, I read/listened to 11 books this summer. This turned out to be one of my favorites. It was about a combat nurse in during the Vietnam war. (I usually prefer mystery novels, but this one was historical fiction.)

I got new remotes for my Switch this summer.
