Joyful Togetherness: A Christmas and New Year Celebration

One day, my family and I hosted an open house to celebrate Christmas and New Year. It was a joyous occasion as relatives from both my mother's and father's sides came over, filling our home with warmth and laughter. The house was bustling with activity as everyone exchanged stories, catching up on each other's lives.

We engaged in many fun activities, from playing games to chatting and gossiping together. The atmosphere was lively, filled with endless conversations and shared memories. When it was time to eat, we gathered around the dining table, enjoying a hearty meal accompanied by jokes and laughter.

However, as the clock struck 9 p.m., our relatives began to leave one by one. In no time, the once lively house returned to its usual quiet state. Despite the silence that followed, the day left us with cherished memories of togetherness and joy, reminding us of the importance of family and celebration.

After Work Bonding Ritual in South Korea: Traditions to Preserve or Reduce

boding after work ritual is an activity with office people to eat together or drink together this activity is called Hoesik and is held in the area of South Korea.

In my opinion, hoesik plays an important role in strengthening interpersonal relationships in the workplace. South Korea's hierarchical work culture often creates distance between superiors and subordinates. Through hoesik, these boundaries can be reduced, creating a more harmonious working atmosphere. However, it can also create a lot of social pressure as some employees who do not want to participate in the ritual are forced to do so due to the hierarchical culture in South Korea. This can also affect the physical and mental health of the employees as a lot of this activity consumes alcohol and junk food that makes our bodies damaged or unhealthy. hoesik is a tradition that has great benefits if done properly. However, without customization, this ritual can become an additional burden for employees. Reforms in the implementation of after work bonding rituals are needed to create a more inclusive and balanced work culture.
