Vietnamese people love giving fruits or medicines or even both. So when you give fruits or medicines as a gift for them, you have to make sure that they're in the best condition. Why? Because if you give them a rotten apple or a smelly pair of bananas, people would think you're trying to insult them that they don't deserve anything except for used things. We apply that same with medicines, do not reuse the bottles before giving them. In Vietnam, we usually give fruits that of course from Vietnam, I guess the reason for this rule is because the fruits will definitely get rotten after travelling a long way just to get to the receiver's house. But things go the opposite when applying that to medicines, in 2021, most people have lost trust in "Đông Y", some of them don't even know what's "Đông Y" is. Because of that, now people just kept gifting Western Medicines and it has already become a standard of gift-giving tradition in Vietnam. And, one more thing I want to say is the fruit and medicine products have many shapes and many uses so I can't tell exactly. Vietnamese love giving them because fruits and medicines are the 2 most iconic symbols of caring. It has been a standard for so long that you now can't even change the thought of a 3 years old kid about this topic. Back to writing, as we already mentioned, fruits and medicines are the symbols of caring and loving which means giving those things will always mean you love them and you ready to be with them until their last breath. But those gifts are usually given to elders or people who have illness, if you give those things to a small child then you probably get some odd looks from everyone in the house. I like receiving it since it will help our family have medicines in case something bad happens.


Bonus part: If you want to have a good impression in front of your Vietnamese friend, then the people/person you want to give medicines is someone old or has illness in your friend's family, if you want to give fruits then you can make that as a gift to everybody. I like the books because they are books and I somewhat like to read books when I'm not using the computer (also known as electronic devices) because if I'm inactive I'll easily feel very bored.

Ao Dai

Ao dai has long been the Vietnamese traditional clothes for both males and females. It is a tight-fitted long dress worn over long pants. The ao dai is a little bit different in length nowadays for various uses, however, it stays the same design and is traditionally made in every corner of Vietnam. Generally, there are two main colors for an Ao dai, one for the long dress itself and a second contrasting color for the trousers worn underneath. Tourists can easily choose themselves and have a tailor specialized in creating Ao dai do the remains.

That's the day which I can have food that I want, have more pocket money and have a huge cake. And of course the best part is presents and gifts. Last birthday, I have recieved a lot of presents and the 2 best presents were a Starbuck card with 500.000 VND inside; and an expert treehouse lego box. The Starbuck card was from my dad, since he saw how well the exam went. I spend it on the day my class compete basketball. Although we lose but I still buy my 2 friends something in Starbuck using my card. And a treehouse lego set was from my mom because I love lego and she wanted to challenge me with that 3000 pieces. I took 1 day to finish it. I love the card because I love to eat and eat in Starbuck helps me feel better when I had bad scores. He always told me that if I got good grades then he’ll buy me anything I like and so I chose a bike. We went to the bike’s store. It took me a long time to choose my favorite bike. It was a black bike with red stripes. Its very cool and beautiful too!
