  • coach teachers in, and model design and implementation of rigorous, relevant, and engaging technology-enhanced, and/or innovative learning experiences, aligned with Common Core and ISTE student technology standards. Learning experiences emphasize creativity and higher order thinking skills using a variety of learner-centered instructional strategies to address the diverse needs and interests of all students 

    • facilitate ongoing high quality professional development, working with coaches, teachers, staff, and administration on infusing technology and innovation into the core curriculum areas

    • attend coach/admin and curriculum committee meetings, as well as building based curriculum and technology budget meetings as needed

    • promote digital citizenship by conducting digital citizenship lessons in classrooms, modeling and facilitating safe, healthy, legal, and ethical uses of digital information and technologies.  Model and promote diversity, cultural understanding, and global awareness by using digital-age communication and collaboration tools to interact locally and globally with students, peers, parents, and the larger community 

    • keep abreast and knowledgeable of digital age learning environment models and blended learning forms of instructional delivery, technology skills and tools, and instructional strategies necessary to effectively guide teachers to innovate their instructional practices

    • share stories of the innovative and creative activities going on in the district with the community at large through the use of social media and video, including the management of the district social media accounts, creating the weekly roundup, and adding video highlights to Roots and Wings bi-weekly

    • assist with maintaining district and school Finalsite websites, including News Manager posts. 

    • create and maintain the teacher facing district curriculum page with content from coaches and other relevant sources.

    • create and maintain the public facing curriculum site with content from coaches and other relevant sources.

    • collaborate with special education experts to assess and secure assistive technology supports to address the diverse needs and interests of all students, including facilitating the SETT process.

    • managing, collecting, and distributing all K-8 special ed iPads

    • participate in the development and implementation of the district technology plan in support of student achievement. Vet the use of any site-based technology in order to assure curriculum and instructional alignment, and effective use of technology resources at the school site

    • maintain and facilitate the use of the 3D printer amongst elementary schools

    • maintain and facilitate the use of the BreakoutEDU boxes and Cricut machines amongst the K-8 schools

    • create district flyers, logos, templates, and other graphics

    • assist in creating the yearly budget flyer

    • participate in yearly SBAC state trainings, enter online student accommodations, and help support teacher readiness and implementation of online testing situations in coordination with district Testing Coordinator

    • perform other tasks or assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or his/her designee.
