Mary is waiting for her husband to come home from work. Is he a butcher? A sheep farmer? (within)

What did the husband have to say? Seems like he may be leaving her for someone else. Is he cheating? He is giving her money and making sure she will be alright. (beyond)

Oh man. Whatever he said to her really did not set well. Do you think she wanted to just hurt him or try to kill him? If she killed him, will she cook him up and eat him for dinner? (beyond)

She is covering her tracks, as the small town knows they go out to eat on Thursdays. She went ahead and made it seem like he wanted to stay in and now she needs food to cook since she was not prepared for that. (within)

Yes! They are fact checking her and following the story to see if it was murder. I wonder if they will find out about what the husband told her minutes before. (beyond)

She got away with it! They all eat the evidence. (within)

The woman is waiting for her husband to return. At first it almost seems like she is waiting for him and can't wait for his return because he is a wonderful person. However, when he returns, he is horrible to her. (WITHIN)

How can he talk to her like that? No woman should ever take that treatment from a man. (BEYOND)

Sounds like maybe she wanted him to die after he told her the news. It sounded like maybe he was going to leave her for someone else that he had met. He was going to give her money to survive. How did she feel? (WITHIN)

Did he think about how she would feel before he told her? Why did he treat her so poorly? (BEYOND)

Being the detective's wife, she has learned how to hide the evidence and make everyone think the death was an accident. Will they believe her? (BEYOND/WITHIN)

- What does the husband do for work? He's a policeman. (BEYOND)

- What did the husband say to her? The way he mentioned giving her money made it seem like he wanted a divorce.

- Was her hitting him in the head with the lamb out of anger and shock, or was she actually trying to hurt and/ or maybe kill him?

- It sounds like she was pregnant.

- Is he actually dead, or just unconscious? Does she feel any remorse or worried, or is this still shock?

- If he is dead, wouldn't they be able to see a mark that he was hit in the head with a frozen piece of meat?

- This woman is kinda scary. What genre is this supposed to be?

- She had a good plan, having the other officers eat the evidence.

Seems as though at first she is excited for her husband to come home from work (within)

Husband appears to be distant and uninterested, while she fixates on small details of his appearance and actions

Why is she afraid of her husband when she seemed to be relieved when he returned home and she was no longer alone?

What did her husband say to her? Did he ask for a divorce, was he cheating on her? (beyond)

Must have been something undesirable to make her react in the way she did

She is less worried about herself and more worried about her unborn child

Going to the grocery store seems to be her way of creating an alibi. Since her husband is a police officer she is familiar with police procedure. (beyond)

She seemed to think of every detail as if she had been planning this, not as a woman who made a mistake and needed to cover her tracks. She seemed to be thinking very clearly. (beyond)

The giggle at the end shows she knows she got away with it because they had just eaten any evidence they would find in the house.

Is she pregnant or did she just have a child?

What does the husband do for work that requires him to be so tired when he comes home?

She seems so excited for her husbands return home from work and she speaks so highly of him but he seems very unpleasant to be around.

Now that I know her husband is a policeman I wonder if it was something that happened at work to cause such negativity or if he is always like this.

The eyes she adored about him and all his other qualities about him went away quickly as he frightened her by his tone of voice, demanding her to sit down.

What was the news about? Was he having an affair?

What was she thinking when she saw the leg of lamb? Did she know then she would kill him with it or had she decided that before?'

Being in such a state of shock when she killed her husband is she still even fully aware she did it?

Did they suspect she killed him?

Did she know she was going to feed the meal/evidence to the officers or did she just think of it on the spot?

After reading until the end I think it was obvious she knew exactly what she was doing by her giggles while the men were all talking and eating. She got away with it!
