- However, after hearing other people's opinions, I believe that there are ways to overcome these challenges such as trying ways to increase your salary by not limiting your salary and saving more.

-I watched my tone and ensured that I try my best to keep an open mind even when i don't relate to them

-I believe that gen AI response is more sophisticated - more detailed which gives a spectrum of perspective and solutions.

-The first thing that excites me about the news is that parents would be able to form stronger family bonds while the mother would be able to take more time for herself to rest and improve her emotional and physical being.

-Another benefit is the flexibility of care. With a full year of leave, parents would be able to adjust to their child's needs. For example, adjusting to their sleep schedule and spending quality time with each other.

-One thing that would worry me is the workplace environment. For example, if employers or their colleagues feel like parental leave is a disruption, they might stress parents to come back to work early, or parents themselves might feel guilty or worried that they'll be seen as less dedicated to their job.

-Another downside to it is career uncertainty as parents might not be able to return to the exact same role as they were. After a year of their absence companies may restructure and their long absence may lead to skill gaps, and they would be at a loss. They might see taking this parental leave as inconvenience rather than something that helps them find themselves cast aside from a project.

-The most challenging part for me was to relate to the pressure parents might have as they probably have a lot to worry about and a ton of different things to juggle with. For instance, having to balance meeting their baby's needs and worrying about work expectations. However, I tried to understand how they feel by putting myself in their shoes.

-I'm still mulling over at the fact that some people cannot give in or open up to other perspective. Some of them hold tightly to their views as it was shared to them since young.

-One thing I’m still struggling to understand is why some people refuse to see things from another person’s perspective even when it’s clear that their words or actions are causing harm. They just refuse to give in and meet you halfway., it is like they built a wall in around their beliefs.

-One of the key moments for us during the tax payment, when we realized we were the only group that gave one of the required 'minerals'. This made me feel both proud and frustrated- proud that we could contribute but frustrated that others did not contribute equally.

-One of the challenges I faced was having to pay the taxes to the bankers even when we did not have enough for ourselves. It felt unfair and I struggled understanding why we had to contribute when others did not and why we were required to give up what little things we had.

- However, during the de-brief, I learnt that we should all try our best to contribute when we can.

-For example, during the game we should plan ahead and help each other out whenever we can- (the richer countries should contribute more such that the poorer countries can survive the game)

- I could relate it to Singapore's condition as Singapore is not self-sufficient with resources like food and water and so we are very dependent on trade and imports
-Hence, the amount of money we have to trade is dependent on other countries

-However, we have areas of advantage and we can leverage them for other resources

-Hence, it may be more realistic to find ways to allow people to be fully committed to Singapore, but still remain true to their other
identities.

-There are common spaces to help us unite with each other as Singaporeans. (e.g. HDB estates, void decks, hawker centres)

-These places represents Singapore's culture(For example, hawker centers have many different various eateries that unites different races)

-I also learned that there are different identities for example, personal identity where one sees themselves as “different” from those around them and social identity which is the identity that one shares with a similar group member where it creates a similarity with others.

-I learned that stereotyping is like judging the book by it's cover which can cause alot of damage and hurt to the person.

-I learned different ways to face biasness and stereotypes. For example, we should acknowledge our personal biasness as being aware of our own biases is the first step towards addressing them. Secondly, we should implement structured decision-making like using a objective criteria to overcome biaseness

-I also learned that Singapore is not neutral and is pro-Singapore. Being “pro-Singapore” means prioritizing what's best for Singapore, even if it means not siding with any other country.

-It also means being flexible, building relationships across the world.

Challenges will come, but with a growth mindset and support from the community, you can overcome anything.

To build a more inclusive nation, we have to take time to listen to others, even when they’re different from us. We have to respect and have empathy as they are the foundation of a strong Singapore.
