I many times used to rub my eyes when it was itchy or when something went in my eye. It will surely help me in the future.

First aid covers various injuries, such as sprains, fractures, cuts, bruises, burns, eye injuries, and repetitive strain injuries. Administering first aid involves assessing, calling for help, performing a primary survey, providing basic care, comforting the patient, and considering specific needs. Treatment varies—sprains require rest, ice, compression, and immobilization. Cuts need cleaning, antibiotics, and monitoring for infection. Concussion management involves checking consciousness and monitoring awareness. Eye injuries should be washed with care. Repetitive strain injuries may improve with self-care like breaks and cold packs. Effective first aid is crucial for prompt and proper injury management.

TYPE OF INJURIES

Sprains and strains are common injuries that can occur during sports or physical activities. Fractures, cuts, bruises, and concussions are common injuries that can occur during sports or falls. Trips and falls can lead to various injuries, from minor bruises to more serious fractures or head injuries. Eye injuries can also occur during sports, science experiments, or accidents with school supplies. Repetitive strain injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, can result from excessive computer or writing activities.

First Aid for these injuries involves assessing the situation, calling for help, performing a primary survey, providing basic first aid, comforting and monitoring, and special considerations. Treatment for sprains and strains includes rest, ice, compression, and stopping bleeding. For cuts and bruises, washing hands, cleaning the wound, applying antibiotics or petroleum jelly, covering the wound, changing the covering, and receiving a tetanus shot are essential.

Concussions should be checked for loss of consciousness, airway and breathing, and mental awareness. Eye injuries should be washed with clean water or saline solution, blinking several times, and not touching the eye. Repetitive strain injuries can be managed by taking more frequent breaks, avoiding activities that worsen symptoms, and using cold packs to reduce swelling.

The session covered various types of injuries commonly encountered, including sprains, strains, fractures, cuts, bruises, concussions, trips, falls, burns, eye injuries, and repetitive strain injuries. The administering first aid guide outlines steps such as assessing the situation, calling for help, performing a primary survey, providing basic first aid, comforting and monitoring, and considering special cases. Treatments for specific injuries include rest, ice, compression for sprains and strains, washing hands, stopping bleeding, cleaning wounds, applying antibiotics, covering wounds, getting tetanus shots, and watching for signs of infection for cuts and bruises. For concussions, it's crucial to check for loss of consciousness and mental awareness. Eye injuries require washing with clean water or saline solution and avoiding touching or rubbing the eyes. Repetitive strain injuries may be managed with rest, avoiding aggravating activities, and using cold packs to reduce swelling.
