I think students violate this the most because this is where plagiarism stems from. Plagiarism is the fraudulent representation of someone else's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as ones original work. This is something many students violate on purpose or by accident. Many students forget to credit their sources or the ideas they add into their work that they found through other people. A lot of this is found in papers because students will add quotes in and forget to credit the source they got it from and it becomes plagiarism. Students also may copy other people's work in order to complete an assignment on time or to complete their work. A lot of students will get in trouble for copying each others work because they do not understand the assignment or because they want to complete the assignment with minimal work involved. Because there is so much freedom when using the internet, I feel as though it is difficult to regulate people's usage and what they do with the information they come across. There is a lot of information on the internet that people use for bad or good and some people do not realize the impact they can have when using the internet. We see this a lot on social media, fake stories that come out about events that did not happen and stories about people that are not true. Parents will regulate their children's screen time or restrict things they can view and I think this helps with the issue of having poor ethics when it comes to computing. You could also look at this from an adult point of view of what can you really do to eliminate unethical behavior because people are going to look up and do what they want on the internet.
