I will use the habit of envisioning by looking at multiple children's books, layouts, and different types of candid photos to help me plan what my "book" looks like. In my book, I want the storyline to be similar to the actual All The Places to Love book but with my life and the peoples/places I love. I envision showing raw emotion in the usage of relating music lyrics in the book, different settings, and candid photos of people.

I am passionate about this project because I love telling and seeing stories through art, especially photography. Candid photos are my favorite style of photography due to how much emotion can be captured within one. I am also very passionate about the human ability to pay attention to the love and beauty all around us, everywhere. This is something I try to implement in my life, partly because I love love, but also because it helps me to be in the moment and be grateful. I believe that through this project I will be able to capture the love I have in my life from many different places, even small things- and how I have learned about love growing up from my parents and younger siblings like the boy in the book. 

Where did you first see/hear about this type of work?
While the idea of incorporating candid images into making my own version of one of my favorite childhood books was my own, the first time I experienced candid photography was probably as a child getting Christmas photos taken. 

What brings you joy/happiness about this project?
This project brings me joy and happiness because I love capturing how love is in everything. It brings me joy to encourage others through showing my vulnerability which I take pride in, to love one another.

I first saw Annie Ruby's work on TikTok and was really inspired by how well she was able to show a story through her photos. Her work inspires me and is important to my project because of how she sets herself apart from other candid photographers by showing emotions and telling a story through her photos, which is exactly my goal in my project. Through editing and timing the photos at the right time, the imperfection of her photos is where I see the love of life. Just like in this example photo, the whole family sitting on the bed and the parents laughing and not looking at the camera- the baby in its first place will know to love. I am planning on photographing whenever I can.
