We are pleased to invite all to a public lecture entitled " Barcelona : 100 Buildings & 150 Years" by Dr.Arch.Miguel Angel Robles-Cardona (Veritas Architects)

Synopsis of the lecture as following:

" Barcelona is well known worldwide for being one of the most active focus of the International Architecture Panorama: a city with a strong identity and extensive culture where tradition and latest trends meet, resulting on outstanding architectural products that can only happen in such a rich and vibrant environment like Barcelona. 

During his more-than-4 years living in Barcelona, while doing his PhD, he got to know the city really well: from its recognizable urban grid to its most relevant architecture masterpieces. He would like to share with all of you (Architecture Students, Lecturers, and whoever feels interested in knowing more about this incredible city), in the frame of an informal session, what are the key points that will make you understand why Barcelona is... well... why Barcelona is Barcelona, and, hopefully, you can use this information as a Complete-Architecture-Tourist-Guide with all the musts that you should not miss if you travel there! "

- Representation of building importance in context

- Indication of belief of need of an existing landmark in style of many walkable cities to enhance walker experience.

- Relation and compliment of site and building forming a new, harmonious yet unintrusive   space 
4) Permeability
- Seggreggated space in and around the unlocking new access and paths never before experienced in or within the site. 

Programs:

1) Ground Floor
- Outdoor space hybrid allowing users to meet, interact and walk within the space and confinements of the building enhanced with permeability
2) First Floor
- Library with books open to public located nearest to the outside location, giving users of all conditions and walks of life easy access to knowledge and book reading
3) Second Floor
- Multimedia hub of computers, interactive spaces and rooms through technology supplementing the belief that the internet is vital to the progress of learning and knowledge.
4) Third Floor
- Quiet space for most enjoyment of one's thoughts, supplemented by a large expanse view of the site in all angles. Think before you speak, silence is golden. 

Merged Programs:

1)  Cultural aspect 
-Prospected use of permeability access around the building as a cultural hub in the forms of street art, decorations and even stalls that respect the history of the site and preventing alienation and negative stigma of the new building
