My artifact is a picture of the anatomy of the teenage brain. During adolescences the brain is developing, this part of development belongs in the biological domain. When I was in adolescence I remember thinking differently compared to when I was in early/middle childhood.

My artifact is a picture of adolescents in the classroom. Adolescents cognitive ability has rapidly grown since early childhood. Many cognitive skills have improved during this stage of development. These skills include understanding through learning, problem solving, moral reasoning, and intelligence. As I got older my grades started to get better, this could be due to my brain developing more cognitive skills.

My artifact is a picture of 3 girls talking a picture and excluding the girl on the right. Purposely leaving someone out isn't nice, this could make the other girl feel sad and left out. This is a form of bullying, which is a considered a social group. When I was in adolescences my friend group at that time would purposefully leave me out. I remember being really effected by that when I was in middle school.

My artifact is a picture of a boy and a girl arguing. As adolescents with siblings get older there dynamics can change. The 5 patterns of sibling relationships include care giver, buddy relationship, critical relationship, rival relationship, and casual relationship. I selected this picture because my brother and I went through all five patterns. Now we are in the casual relationship stage, but when we were in adolescence we were in the rival stage.

My artifact is a pictures of all the characters in the breakfast club. This artifacts impacts peer concepts because in the movie each character represents a peer group. When they where in detention they got to learn about each other. They also got insight on what it's like to be popular (Claire), controversial adolescents(Andrew), Sociometric unpopularity (Alison), bullying/sarcasm and ridicule. I watched the breakfast club for the first time when I was in adolescence. I remember really resonating with the fact that the peer groups where highlighted because I saw those peer groups at school.

The artifact I chose is a graphic about what positive and negative school climate looks like. Teaching adolescent’s can be difficult because of everything going on with them biological and many other factors. Creating a postive climate can help create a positive vibe in the classroom. Teachers can create a postive climate in the classroom by taking the steps to create a safe space for students and bring the engery when your students aren't. I listened to a podcast on school climate for an assignment last year and it can really help with meeting the adolescents where there at.

My artifact is a picture of a girl looking at her phone and around her is all the things she's looking at on her phone. Adolescents are unfortunately glued to there phones. Usually adolescents are looking for entertainment, a way to pass time, gives a high sensation, is considered a coping skill and identifies youth culture. I chose this artifact because I spend too much time on my phone and that started when I got my first iphone during adolescence.

My artifact is a picture of a woman holding her diploma. This woman is the identity level status of achievement. Befor she got to this point she went through the levels of identity status. These levels are diffusion, moratorium, and foreclosure. Diffusion is when there is no question of who you are. Moratorium is exploring who you are and what you want in life. Foreclosure is when are not exploring other options, and achievement is when you have made a final commitment. I selected this artifact because currently I am in the identity status level of achievement.

My artifact is of a girl looking at herself in her rearview mirror. You can officially get a licence when you turn 16, which is during the stage of adolescence. This can give a teenager the freedom to go where ever they want. There parents don't have to take them everywhere anymore. This promotes autonomy for adolescents because there is freedom and trust associated with being able to drive. I selected this artifact because I was 17 when I got my license. Like most teenagers I loved the new feeling of freedom.

My artifact is a picture of a couple holding hands in the hallway at school. Adolescents tend to become very curious about things like intimacy, love and sexuality. Because of this some adolescents tend to get into a relationship during adolescence. Some might just explore all three of these things without any label. During this time adolescence learn a lot about relationships. I selected this artifact because I was in a realtionship in high school and it taught me a lot about what I want in a relationship.
