The most characteristic are Native American, African, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Indian- South America. However, there is a mix of European, North America , and indigenous cuisines. The customs and food products greatly vary according to the physically distinct regions.

-Perhaps not as well covered as their northern counterparts, the South American continent is home to extremely diverse and rich cultures. They have Spanish, Indigenous and African influences due to migration patterns over the last few centuries; nevertheless, each culture puts their own spin that makes their clothing unique to others. Below are some of these interesting and rather eye-catching pieces from this region.

-In an area the size of South America, an efficient system of transportation is necessary for the development of the hinterland, the expansion of national markets, and the integration of the different national economic systems. -South America’s temperate climates are home to a number of industrial crops and livestock. Corn is produced throughout the temperate climates, and soybeans have become an increasingly lucrative crop in the Pampas.

-South America has some of the largest mining operations in the world. The Chuquicamata mine in northern Chile is considered the world’s largest open-pit copper mine. It is 4.3 kilometers (2.7 miles) long, 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) wide and more than 847 meters (2,780 feet) deep. The mine produces more than one-fourth of Chile’s copper. Its smelter (which extracts the copper from rock ore) and refinery (which purifies the extracted copper) are also among the largest in the world.
