Two students form the bridge by placing their hand together and raising their hands up together above their heads.  The rest of the class makes a single line.   Students sing, "Rhyming bridge is falling down, falling down, rhyming bridge is falling down, my fair lady" as they go through the bridge. When the song ends, whatever child is under the bridge gets trapped by the bridge. In order to escape the bridge the student must come up with a pair of rhyming words before they are released.

Students will sit in a circle, legs crossed on the carpet.  Teacher will start a rhythm by tapping her legs twice, then clap.  The class will mimic the rhythm.  Once the rhythm has been established, the teacher will say a word at the end of her clap.  The student sitting to her right will have to produce a rhyming word at the end of their clap.  This will go on until a rhyming word can not be produced by a student.  

Game starts over.   

To accommodate students unable to sit on floor, we can all brings chairs and form a circle with our chairs.  To accommodate a student unable to clap or tap their legs, they can click their tongues twice and add a pop at the end to create a rhythm.  

ELL Students can pair up with their learning buddy and say rhyming word together.
