"The music and me...

Between listening to music and watching television, I think that I prefer listening to music. 

I always had a big passion for music and I knew a lot of songs and I was always singing. 

When I was young, I used to make little shows for my parents and for my brother. Honestly I´ve never sung very well, but I had a lot of fun doing it. So my parents just used to say that I was really good at it and to keep going on, so I used to do it, every night, before we went to bed, I used to make my little show. 

Today, I don't do it anymore but I still love listening to music because it brings to me very good memories and it is really good for me to remember those days. 

The music is something very nostalgic to me and I love it!” 

“2018’s Christmas 

My favourite holiday was and still is Christmas. I’ve always loved Christmas because in Christmas I can spend time with my whole family and that’s amazing. I never visit any public facilities. I usually go to my cousin’s house. 

For me, my favourite Christmas was two years ago because it was so fun and everyone was so happy. Also two years ago we all visited a restaurant near my cousin’s house. We had lunch at that restaurant, which I don’t remember its name, and then we had dinner at my cousin’s house. 

I loved that year’s Christmas.” 

I love to travel and I’ve already traveled a lot ! My favourite travel was to California and I’m 100% sure of that because people in California are so nice, and there they have hot, big and soft pretzels, honestly that was one of the best parts ! I visited a park called Universal Studios and it was full of roller coasters ,so, that was definitely the best part LOL ! I danced a lot there because at the restaurants there were dancers ( at that time I wasn’t ashamed of nothing) so I just danced with them in front of everybody! That was so funny! I want to go back ! Bye !”

 In 2016, I went to the North of Portugal to spend my summer holiday.

It was very early in the morning when my family and I went straight to Bragança and we arrived at the country hotel. There was a very large pool, a football pitch, basketball hoops, jacuzzi and sauna. We stayed there for one night and it was amazing.

The next day we went to Oporto. The hotel was in a very tall building. The room was very cozy and also very big. The hotel had an interior pool and a jacuzzi. That night I went to Matosinhos and had dinner at a fancy restaurant named “O Alves”. My family and I, we all had “Francesinhas”.

That was the best holiday of my life!”

My best holiday until now was this last summer because i went to Algarve, Alentejo and Gerês and I did many awesome things. It was a bit boring to have to wear a mask but it was worth it. I went to some beaches and I have tried to surf. I also visited some natural parks to see some waterfalls in Gerês. And of course I went to eat in a restaurant and a café but I didn't go to one so often. I went to a shopping centre in the middle of the road trip but it was just to have lunch.

However I can say that it was one of the best holidays ever because I spent it with the people that I love the most.”

  It's pretty interesting to learn about different places and cultures around the world.

  Personally, I think that meeting other people ir really important, especially if you are out of the country.

  Learning a foreign language is something that allows you to communicate with more people and it's actually really fun to do it.

  Besides all of these advantages, you can still have a lot of fun with the activities that the summer camps give you.”

  Two years ago I went to London, in the United Kingdom, as an exchange student to have classes in another place, to explore London and to improve my english.

  I stayed with an awesome host family that was composed of 3 people Ted, Joe's father, Joe, their son that was my age and Karen, Joe's mother and Ted's wife.

  I learned a lot, made new friends and explored London with my host family.We went to museums, exhibitions and monuments. My favourite was Big Ben.

  I miss them and my British friends but I am still in contact with most of them, maybe I can visit London again this summer.”

 I got to see a lot of cool sights, visited the Big Ben, I also got to study in the school I wanted and made new friends.

Well, that's basically it, as I said before, it was cool, not beautiful, just cool.”

Firstly, if you want to do some activities in summer like swimming, playing games, doing sport activities, etc. going to a summer camp is an advantage. There you can do all these things. on the other hand, if you are lazy it is a disadvantage to you!

Secondly, one big advantage of a summer camp is that you can meet people there and make some friends. 

However, in a summer camp you don't have the food you wish, you have to eat the food that exists there. I think this is a big disadvantage. 

To conclude, I would say that a summer camp is a good place to spend our summer.”

  Hi! I will give my opinion about summer camps. 

  So, I think that summer camps are an incredible experience, but nothing is perfect, Am I wrong? I will start with the advantages. Summer camps are a good opportunity to make some new friends, learn more about everything connected to Nature. You can learn a new language or even a new sport. Now let's talk about the disadvantages. You can't sleep as long as you want and you don't have a full permission to use your phone. So, what do you think about Summer camps? It's great, isn't it?”

  Last year I went to France to study, I really loved it!

  I stayed with my host parents and they were so nice to me! French people are a little rude in the beginning but then they come out so sweet. I was there studying fashion, and I was able to visit the Eiffel Tower and be there on the fashion week. It was insane!!! 

 At school I made a lot of friends and I’m sure they will stay with me for a long time. Leaving was the hardest thing because I met a lot of nice and sweet people.

 And that was my fun trip to France.”

In my opinion, summer camps are also a great way to be more independent because you learn to do a lot by yourself, with neither the help of parents nor the help of friends.”

parents. However at the same time I know that summer camps are expensive so you might need to save some money which is good because in that way you learn how to manage your own money. So I totally think it’s a good idea.”

My overall opinion on summer camps is that it’s an event that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.”

Two years ago I was an exchange student in the United Kingdom. That was the best experience in my life!

I stayed at my host family’s home and they were really kind to me. They were five: mum, dad, Stef (she’s my age), Tom (the middle brother and John (the young brother). I stayed at Stef’s school, so most of my friends were her friends, too. We went to a lot of parties and after school we went to our friends’ houses, we had a lot of fun.

The worst thing that happened to me was: at the first, I arrived late to every place, because they are always on time. But then I got used to.

That was really amazing and I will remember the people that I knew there for all my life.”

I would prefer to read “City of Bones” because I've always loved a good mystery, and I would really like to know how the three boys and the body disappeared. 

I think reading is important for people to learn new things, and also to escape from  reality sometimes, because when you read a book you can imagine the whole story based on what you’re reading. 

I do think this book has a great plot, because I can understand the point of the main character, and in a certain extent relate to him. The plot story is very good in my opinion because this coming of age book shows a side of adolescence that most stories with the same “ goal “ don’t show, letting the plot and the problems that are very common in the teenagers' lives in this generation take over and effortlessly relate to us, making the reading experience more enjoyable (in my opinion). 

Charlie makes friendships as the story goes, friendships that help him get out of the mind space that he is in, making him grow and learn how to be happy. These friends that the main character makes are the whole main focus of the story (in my point of view, not every reading experience is the same, reading can “get to us" in many different ways making our opinions about the book different). It really shows that we all go through things but the friends are always there to remind us that we are never alone, what takes me to my first point, that explains how and why friendships are so important in our lives.
