I stand here before you on all of my 4 legs to plead for my life. To you, I might seem just like a typical holiday meal- ready to slice off my head and fry me up. But I am more than that. I have hopes and dreams, I have good days and bad days and I desperately want to see more of those days. Us turkeys have so little voice in our own lives, so little rights in this world of yours and I decided this morning that today was my day to use my voice, use my wobble and plea for my life.

I beg of you, to look me in the eye, tell me I am not worthy. Tell me I am of better use cooked.

You can’t do it? I didn’t think so. Save this turkey’s life. Please.

And I personally think I should be pardoned. The reason I should be pardoned this year is because I can talk unlike any of the other turkeys. And I also have thoughts and feelings. As well as being able to talk when you kill me I will loudly scream out for help. Another reason is that you would be killing the first turkey ever to talk and probably the last. And could you look me in the eyes and tell me that I am going to die just so a few people could have a meal. I should die on a farm from natural causes not from a knife. So I ask you now to please pardon me from being killed this year.

At the time i was 3 so even if i liked pigs i could do nuthen. I loved to play fruit, fruit was a game mosty for kids, how you played was the parents would take you to a place where there are fruit trees then they would say “FRUIT!” which ment i had to go get a piece of fruit for mother then she would just, eat i guess. Then when i got hungry i would say “FRUIT!” but then mother would say “i quit so go get your own fruit.” Even though I got angry I went to get a piece of fruit for myself and when I came back mother was gone. I yelled and yelled for her and I got nothing. I started to have a panic attack but it was getting late so I decided to go to sleep under an apple tree. I hope you are okay mother, I kept saying to myself. --- The Next Morning --- i gave up on looking for my mother, if i got lucky she would come to me. It is now 1874 and mother has not come to me. BANG!! Something hit me and then I remember people plucking my feathers out to eat me. I yelled STOP! DON'T KILL ME PLEASE The people got confused because they thought I was dead, I explained to them that I am just a young turkey even though I was 636 years old, they let me go.

I have a heart and a soul, I feel things, like all of the other turkeys from my farm, and all of the other animals in this world. I have a family, and they are waiting for me, so please, this Thanksgiving, just eat tofurky. I promise it tastes like the real thing. Thank you for your time.

I have 8 turklings back at home that I have to take care of and I want to have a very successful retirement at the turkey gobble gobble retirement home. After my long and successful career of being a turkey I realized that it's very important to end your life on a good note. Therefore, I think you should not choose me to eat you should choose that weird turkey dude over to your left. He looks way less intelligent than me, I mean he's wearing reindeer antlers. What kind of turkey wears reindeer antlers? Anyways, just definitely do not eat me. IM WARNING YOU.
